Orovell (formerly VM Modular) designs and installs home automation in Hyderabad as part of the interiors it makes in its own factory in Balanagar. Since 2011 the same team has delivered 750+ homes across the city, and automation is planned into them at the design stage: the lighting scenes, the curtain motors, the switch positions and the wiring routes are drawn with the ceiling and the cabinetry, not added after the walls are painted.

The questions people ask us.
Do I need to plan automation before the interiors?
It is easier and cleaner, yes. When Orovell designs the interiors, the lighting circuits, the curtain motors and the switch positions go onto the same drawings as the false ceiling and the cabinetry, so the wiring runs before the ceiling closes. Planned after, the same system needs retrofit modules and some compromise on where things sit.
Can automation be added to a finished home in Hyderabad?
Yes. Orovell retrofits finished apartments and villas with modules that sit behind the existing switches and motors that fit existing curtain tracks, so no walls are opened. What you keep is the switch you already have; what you gain is the scene, the schedule and the app. A site survey tells you exactly what is possible.
Will the switches still work if the internet goes down?
Yes. Every physical switch keeps working as a switch, and the lighting scenes run on the home network, not on the internet. Voice control and control from outside the home need the connection; the house itself does not. Orovell sets it up this way as standard in every Hyderabad home it automates.
Which rooms are worth automating first?
The living room and the master bedroom, in most Hyderabad homes: lighting scenes and motorised curtains are what families use every day. The main door lock and the video door phone come next. Orovell plans the wiring so more rooms can be added later without opening the ceiling again.
How long does the automation take?
Orovell delivers in 60 business days from design lock, written into your quote; the timeline moves with the scope of the project. The automation is scheduled with the rest of the interiors. In a new home the wiring goes in with the ceiling and the devices are fitted at handover. In a retrofit the survey, the modules and the set-up are scheduled around you, room by room, with no site work beyond the switchboards.
What should I bring to the first meeting?
The floor plan, a note of which rooms matter most, and the devices you already use, such as the voice assistant or the television. If the home is finished, photographs of the switchboards help. Orovell's designer will show you the system at the Balanagar showroom, free and with no obligation.
